For the first time…
… I’m below average. This may sound douchey, but I’m used to winning and getting whatever I want. I got accepted into every university I applied for (full scholarship at 2 of the 3), my university tuition is fully paid for by scholarships, I’ve gotten internship opportunities, shadowing opportunities, started my own club sport, have taken leadership positions, and really have succeeded at everything I’ve ever tried for quite easily. But for the first time in my life I’m losing, and it’s challenging. Yet at the same time it’s humbling as well. I know I’ll figure everything out; I just have to go with the flow, be confident, and get through the challenges. Maybe even accept losing in order to open new possibilities.
